Catch the show: The Toronto Ukrainian Festival
The annual Toronto Festival held at Bloor West Village is back in this weekend, 12-14 September 2008. The show will be on Bloor st between Jane and Runneymede. There will be food festival,dance and music, arts ad crafts and fun. They all come up in stage shows and streets.
his Ukrainian street festival has attracted over 350,000 in past years with even more expected for 2008.
Join everyone for the fun! Come for an hour - or for the whole weekend. And admission is free!
Loads of Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian Torontonians of all ages, many sporting the Ukrainian national soccery jersey, have jammed the streets and are enjoying the festivities. There are a bunch of Ukrainian food stations, as well as other cuisines such as churros, yams, corn and lemonade. Mamma’s Pizza has a special deal on sausage as well.
There’s plenty of beer tents with the most popular Ukrainian brands on tap and today Randy Bachman of The Guess Who will kick off festivities for the festival.
